Cannot select any of the items in MS IME with the application CharView. Works perfectly in Windows NT4.0.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Remove old J2SDK V1.4.0 on Windows 2000.
2. Install the latest version of J2SDK v1.4.0 on Windows 2000.
3. If CharView is not present on the local hard-drive, goto "/net/sqesvr/export/i18n/i18n_ws/OverSea/Japan/FJ"
5. cp -p fj-test.tar ~
6. uncompress fj-test.tar.Z
7. tar xvf fj-test.tar
8. Go to the directory where the CharView.java is located.
9. Type "java CharView" to launch CharView.
10. Enter "400" in the textfield.
11. Select "TextField" from the drop-down listbox.
12. Point and click on the IME, then select Hiragana from the list.
Note: The IME didn't accept the selection.
