Upgrade from 1.4.1 to 1.4.2 beta or later releases will not upgrade the plugin

      To reproduce:

      1. Install JDK 1.4.1 on the windows98
      2. Upgrade and install JDK 1.4.2 beta or 1.5
      3. Go to Control Panel and open Java Plug In Control Panel, the version is still 1.4.1
      4. Uninstall 1.4.1 completely, and the plug in will complain it cant find the registry key
