A DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUEST :
ISO-8601 specifies time formats in the form YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ss.sss...(+|-)HH:MM, so SimpleDateFormat should support this time format as well.
JUSTIFICATION :
ISO Date Time is widely used as a common date exchange format by a large number of institutions. It is the ONLY recognized date/time format which is recognized internationally.
