Firefox 26 has implemented default click to play for Java plug-in
- For regular applets, the Activate Java request displayed in part of the page where the plug-in is embedded.
It is easy for users to realize and active or not
- However, for JavaFX applet using dtjava.js, the Activate Java request is not displayed as part of the page and the loading logo keeps spinning as long as Java plug-in is not activated.
The small icon in the browser address bar for add-on activation is not flashing either. It is hard for average users to realize what happens
The problem can be seen with the JavaFX sample:
