Relative layout can cause objects to disappear

The attached layout demo, using the GridBagLayout, has a button panel
at the bottom that never appears on OpenWindows 3.5. The layout
works perfectly on OW 3.4. The problem goes away if the check for
the version of the windowing system is removed in the java source code
(search for 3400 in awt_MToolkit.c).
