The pattern string
"-INF\u2264Negative|0.0\u2264Zero|0.0<Positive" works,

but the pattern
"-\u221E\u2264Negative|0.0\u2264Zero|0.0<Positive"

doesn't.

Hard to say whether this is a bug or feature request.
I lean towards bug, since the NumberFormats handle \u221E
correctly.
