JAI : cannot load Clinton.gif (GIF89)

    Description

      The attached test program fails while trying to load the gif image: Clinton.gif. The following exception shows up:
      java.io.IOException
              at sun.awt.image.GifImageDecoder.readHeader(GifImageDecoder.java:299)
              at sun.awt.image.GifImageDecoder.produceImage(GifImageDecoder.java:126)
              at sun.awt.image.InputStreamImageSource.doFetch(InputStreamImageSource.java:257)
              at sun.awt.image.ImageFetcher.fetchloop(ImageFetcher.java:217)
              at sun.awt.image.ImageFetcher.run(ImageFetcher.java:185)
