    Description

      Based on the requirements at:

         http://webwork.sfbay/j2se/1.4/install-windows.html
         http://webwork.sfbay/j2se/1.4/install-linux.html
         http://webwork.sfbay/j2se/1.4/install-solaris.html

our installers should check if all the system requirements are met before installing the jre/sdk. If they are not met, the installer should give some warning message and possibly terminate. This would eliminate a lot of bugs that come from users that don't have the recommended system configurations.

I closed another bug as a duplicate of this one. It was that it should warn if the target machine is 64-bit, because we don't support it.
