ALT+<mnemonic> key not working on remote display

Testcase: SwingSet2 Demo on Solaris using remote display

The mnemonic keys on JMenuItem do not work by using Alt+<mnemonic_key>. The problem does not occur locally on the Solaris machine but occurs remotely on AIX (ver 4.3.2.0 used) and Linux (SuSE 7.3 used) machines as the remote display. The problem does not occur with a Solaris remote display.
