JDK1.3 - Problem with displaying special characters

    Description

      We are having the problem with displaying special characters like ® on JDK 1.3. The same java program is working well on JDK 1.2.2.

      Test case SpecilaChars.java is attached to the defect.
      Tested with Informix JDBC driver version 2.1
