Sungard has a web based product running mulitple applets spanning multiple pages. It has led to a reproducible testcase demonstrating a hang condition in Sun's JVM applet code.
The issue has been reproduced and identified by Sun engineers and an ER is currently planned (built on the 1.4.2_10 release). The eventual integrated fix will need to be in 1.4.2_XX, as well as future FCS releases of 1.5/1.6.
