A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
creating a JSpinner control using SpinnerNumberModel initialized with 'long' values causes an exception when the spinner up and down arrows are used.

STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
1. create a JSpinner using 'long' number model:

JSpinner spinner = new JSpinner;
spinner.setEditor(
   new JSpinner.NumberEditor(startYearSpinner, "0000"));
spinner.setModel(new SpinnerNumberModel(
   0L, Long.MIN_VALUE, Long.MAX_VALUE, 1L));

2. load application and press up or down arrow on spinner twice
