[macosx] clicking a JavaButton does not open a new Safari window, works with FF

Java version: JRE 7u25 on Mac OSX (reproducible with beta version of JRE 7u40).

In the Safari browser, clicking on a JavaButton that is meant to open a new instance of Safari window has no effect on Mac OSX. This was not an issue in Java 7u21. Works as expected in Firefox on Mac, and other browsers on Windows.

System Information:
· Mac OSX 10.8.4
· Safari 6.0.5
· Java Plug-in 10.25.2.15 using JRE version 1.7.0_25-b15
