[Accessibility, JAWS] DatePicker under JAWS speaks the wrong date after using arrow keys to move highlighted date across month boundaries.

    XMLWordPrintable

Details

    Description

Using the DatePicker sample and JAWS as the voice-over:

While using arrow keys to move around the calendar JAWS will speak the date.

However, when crossing over a month (or year) boundary, say from May to June, JAWS will speak the wrong date number (relative to the highlighted date).

As long as you stay in the same month, the date spoken will be correct.

Applies to L/R/U/D Arrows, Page Up/Down, CTRL-Page Up/Down, Home (after month change).

This does not occur using Narrator as the voice-over, because Narrator does not speak the date when performing this action.

       under "DatePicker" (Arrow Keys).

The HelloDatePicker Sample is run from Hello.jar as follows:

      java -cp Hello.jar hello.HelloDatePicker
