TextField.setPromptText() has unexpected behavior

Sample FXML-LoginDemo sets a prompt text of "demo" for both a "User" TextField and a "Password" PasswordField. It worked fine earlier (2.1), but with a recent build of 2.2, the prompt text for the "User" TextField does not appear. Yet, when FXML-LoginDemo loses focus, the prompt text for the "User" TextField does appear. There is no issue with the prompt text in the PasswordField.
