Layout results in Label clipping after mouseover

In sample code (to be attached), I have a Label followed by a ComboBox contained in an HBox. When I show a Stage containing this the Label is clipped (on Lombard after I mouse over the ComboBox). The sizes should have been computed such that the text in the Label did not need to clip.
