RTFEditorKit does not display some of Japanese characters correctly

The user is using RTFeditorkit API to read Japanese RTF characters but some output is garbage character.
Example:
 小野寺さん meaning “ONODERA SAN”(O,NO,DERA,SA,N) by translation.
Is displayed as : 小野Ž›さん instead of 小野寺さん.
