Applicable to Javatest versions 4.0-4.2...
Configuration and Template editors show currently available Interview questions as almost a plain List with only a limited "visual" enhansements like bold font for "group" questions and some indents to "simulate" hierarchical structure.
Such representation may be OK for small Interviews, but can be very hard to use for complex ones, that defines dozens of structurized questions.
Usability of COnfiguration and Template Editor should be re-evaluated against typical usecases. There's a lot of places to improve.
For example,
- List of question may be transformed to the Tree where users will be able to expand/collapse nodes.
- Search functionality may be put directly onto the front panel - so users will be able to quickly filter list of questions by desired substring.
For example, this way is very effectively implemented in Eclipse IDE. See Window/Preferences.
This RFE may be used to group smaller tasks for Configuraiton Editor usability improvements.
