The @author tags in the jtreg code are incomplete and/or obsolete.
I count the following:
15 * @author Iris A Garcia
4 * @author jjg
2 * @author John R. Rose
1 * @author ksrini
1 * @author Dmitry Fazunenko
which means tags are on less than 20% of the source files.
Generally, the SCM metadata is a better place for such attribution, even if the per-file data does not go back before the use of Mercurial, at the beginning of OpenJDK.
I realize that removing old tags can be controversial. Removing the tags is in no way meant to diminish the efforts of the listed people.
