The win95 appletviewer either hangs or crashes on the color perception
applet at
http://www.cs.brown.edu/research/graphics/projects/igi/spectrum/beta/spectrum1.html
The first time I visited this URL, I dragged an input spectrum line
from left to right. I dragged all the way across, but the applet hung
after getting about one-fourth of the way across.
I quit that DOS window, started another, and started appletviewer on
the same URL. This time, I dragged from right to left all the way
across. The applet showed less than one-half of the dragging and then
the following screen came up:
It is now safe to turn off your computer.
Third time: rebooted the machine, started DOS box, and ran
appletviewer on the URL. Dragging left to right, very slowly, and
image stopped drawing about one-third of the way across. The "safe to
turn off computer" screen came up, there was no mouse or keyboard
sensitivity, but CD player app was still working.
