One of our ISV sourcecraft loaded up JDK 1.0.2 to have get around
some bugs that have been fixed in this release. However, they can
not use 1.0.2 because there is a regression in the area of image loading.
The problem appears to be Win32 specific.
They have a class that loads an image from a Windows .bmp file and
tries to create an image in java. This all worked fine in 1.0.1 however,
1.0.2 produces a crash on Win32. Things seem to work on Solaris.
I have included the crash report from Windows '95. There is a zip
file with a complete test case and README are in
doppio:/home/kincaid/srccraft
Windows '95 crash.
JAVA_G caused an invalid page fault in
module JAVAI_G.DLL at 0137:1001caa7.
