Most serious real-world applications have some sort of menu bar across the top
of the interface. Java currently doesn't provide this unless the applet creates its
own frame. This is unacceptable. If Java is going to move beyond the "cool demos"
reputation and attract serious development efforts, this kind of functionality must
be provided.
