Under kona (09/20/96 & 09/06/96), we get an ArrayBoundsException when dealing
with a UK currency symbol (£).

This occurs in FontMetrics.stringWidth() if the string passed contains a pound
sign.

This should be pretty easy to reproduce if you can get hold of a UK keyboard :-)
