I have started testing Corel's application with the beta3 release promoted
on January 2nd. I can't use their latest build because of an unexplained
exception. However, on their preview build, I am able to crash the Win32
VM while running on NT. I have placed the Dr. Watson long in
/home/kincaid/drwtsn32.log. The crash does not occur on Solaris. I am
categorizing this as classes_awt becaue of the stack trace included in
this file. There is a IsWindow call in the stack. I may be wrong on the
categorization. If so, I apologize.
To recreate the crash do the following:
Download /home/kincaid/corel/Office4Java.zip to a Win32 machine.
Unzip.
Go to created class directory and run the command
java COfficeApplet
Do a file new and select WordPerfect.
After a blank WordPerfect document comes up,
Do a file new and select QuatroPro.
Boom! an Access violation occurs in java.exe. (Again see /home/kincaid/drwatson.log).
[jeff - 1/6/97] added drwtsn32.log to the attachements list.
