client/server failure detection would be useful in RMI

      Some applications have a need to detect client failure. RMI could provide a notification facility so that registrants can be notified of client death. Additionally, given a remote object reference (e.g., to a UnicastRemoteObject),
      it would be useful to be notified when that remote object died.
