Bring up the latest HotJava (with right button support). Move the mouse over an image or a link, and press the right mosue button to bring up a menu. Do this several times. You will hang X. The X cursor still moves, but the mouse cursor is the right pointing arrow, and no input nor focus changes take place once things are hung, until you rlogin from another machine, and kill HotJava.
