This seems to have happened recently. Calling setEnabled(true) on a subMenu item does not activate the menu item. Works fine in JDK1.1.1A but fails in JDk1.1.1B.
To reproduce, bring up HJ, chose Show Places List from the Places menu item.
Now look at the File Menu items. SortBy submenu under File menu should be active. It is active when we use JDK1.1.1A. Setting JDK_HOME to JDK1.1.1B, the
menu item is never activated.
