Just try to extract the documentation tarfile on a Mac.
The fully qualified classnames are too long (Macs have a
limit of 31 characters). I might try renaming them, but
then I'll have to go through and edit all the links.
This was not a problem with 1.0.2 documentation; has javadoc
changed?
The straightforward solution would be to map package names to
subdirectories, to keep the individual pathname components
short.
I might also point out that, if you want to put the docs on
CD, you'll either have to limit yourselves to 8.3 filenames
(ISO-9660 is extremely restrictive) or be (gasp) platform-
dependent.
company - Netscape; but I'm speaking for myself at the moment , email - ###@###.###
