1.1 allows access to the system EventQueue object through the toolkit method getSystemEventQueue() but not the EventDispatchThread object that it starts. In the cases where access to the system EventQueue is allowed by the security manager, it would be logical to be able to kill off the system EventDispatchThread and replace it with a custom dispatch thread.
