Why is the toString of vector final?

      I would love to override the toString method of vector for my own
      classes derived from vector. Because the toString method is
      the only method I can use in String without knowning if the
      object exists -> java known itself to call toString or print null.

      So why the toString is final. I think it should be overridable for
      every subclass of class !!
