Hardware: Gateway Handbook 486/33, 8MB RAM
>> 16 color << standard VGA
(I understand it's not supposed to run reliably in 16 colors)
HotJava will not run. "hotjava.exe" starts executing, the DOS command
prompt returns, then the error window appears. I also tried
"hotjava_g.exe", which seems to do more--messages are printed on the
screen, but then the same error message appears.
I tried it with and without a URL on the command line.
If this is not a problem with the 16 colors, please reply. (The JDK
runs fine).

I am using Win/95 on a 486/33 with 32meg memory with an Orchid
Fahrenheit 1280 adapter and a Sony 17se monitor.
I just downloaded and executed hjb1_0wd (i.e. browser.version=1.0p1/JRE1.1.1)
I am getting an invalid page fault when I try to launch hotjava by
double-clicking c:\Hotjava\bin\hotjava.
In order to isolate the problem I erased all versions of hotjava,
jdk1.1.1 and autoexec.bat from the system to ensure it wasn't a
classpath or path problem. The problem persists as follows:
