Description
there should be an easy-to-use, turn-key JFC UI for every user-configurable java option. some options are covered (rather badly) in appletviewer already, but a great many others are hidden in .properties files and environment variables. users are not going to want to (or successfully be able to) edit these files directly.
configuration of classpath and sharing of jdk installations between java applications should be part of this ui.
it would be good to consider the idea of a java desktop/color scheme. the color of java components should be either custom or set to follow one of the underlying system colors.
if we don't have time for this, we should probably outsource it to someone who does have time... before 2.0 ships. it will have a big impact with users for a relatively small investment.
