While running JavaIDL tests (available as part of JCK-12) on NT 4.0 using JDK1.2 EA2 the jvm crashes. A pop window comes up with the following message :

"The instruction at "0x6572206d" referenced memory at "0x6572206d". The memory
      could not be 'read' "

You need to run the tests five or six times before you come across this error.
Sometimes this error is associated with the JavaIDL client and sometimes it is
associated with the Transient Name Server . The name server is trying to
      call the apis

      " java.net.SocketInputStream.socketRead(Native Method)"
      "java.net.SocketInputStream.read(SocketInputStream.java:96)"
