The base version of jdk1.1.4 has a bad link to api/ this should in fact be pointing at the docs/api directory. The fix is simple all that is required is to change references in docs/guide/awt/HowToUpgrade.html for the base product from ../../../api/ to ../../api which is the correct residing place of the api/ directory.
This is a major problem witht the Base docs as over 20 references to the docs/api/ directory are faulty.
