BoldAction and ItalicAction (in StyledEditorKit) don't work (I used DefaultStyledDocument) on JDK1.2 with swing-0.5.1. It seems to be a regression on JDK1.2 (work on jdk1.1.4). Also, it would be nice to have toggle feature for Bold/Italic action.
You can use Stylepad example to demonstrate the problem:
1. Launch the Stylepad
2. from toolbar, New a new document (which is DefaultStyledDocument)
3. type in a few lines of text
4. highlight and apply Bold/Italic
5. no bold effect happens
