Running the included Java Shared Data Tooklkit (JSDT) example causes the
Channel server-side component to lockup when attempting to write data to
a buffered ByteOutputStream on a socket connection.

The lockups appear to occur intermittently, and can occur anytime between
a few seconds and an hour.

After a period of five minutes, the Channel server-side thread wakes up, and
everything starts again, except one of the proxy-side connections did not
receive a reply to it's last message sent to the server-side, and is useless.
