Run the November BDK under Solaris/SPARC.

For example, cd /java/beans/ws/beans.nov97/beanbox; sh run.sh
        (or install it from /java/beans/release/bdk10-nov97-unix.sh)

Under Edit|LoadJar... choose the /usr/local/java/swing-0.7 as a directory. Then choose motif.jar. This will give the warning that no Beans were loaded. That is OK, we are just loading the LAFs for motif. Now do the same but load swing.jar. This takes a bit longer and it loads all the Swing components into the palette.

Now click on JRadioButton on the palette. After a sec or two, the cursor becomes a + go to the composition pane and click again to drop it. The button gets instantiated, the properties window starts to change to reflect the new properties but it fails to completely initialize and it will freeze.

Note that there are some warning messages from the BeanBox about null properties and the such that should be ignored. They are normal (for Swing).

Try the same using JDK1.1.5 and it will work.

This is on my ULTRA 1 with dual color monitors. Using CDE.
