JDK-2018924 | 1.2.0 | Jeffrey Dunn | P4 | Resolved | Fixed | 1.2beta4 |
Run the attached application IMFTest. From top to bottom, it contains a lightweight text component, a peered text component, and a button. Try typing without clicking into the window, or typing after clicking into one of the two text components. You may have to try a few times, but it's quite likely you'll get into a state where the characters you type show up simultaneously in both components (the top components displays all text twice - that's NOT what I mean).
This does not occur on 1.1.5.

I can easily reproduce this problem:
- Use dtwm, set for click-to-focus
- start IMFTest
- Click in the middle (peered) component
- type characters
The characters show up in both text components.
