Configuration: JDK1.2Beta3L nightly build with Solaris.
To reproduce:
1) Run SwingSet
2) Click PlainText tab.
3) Press 'Caps Lock' key on your keyboard.
4) Type any thing. Capitals were typed as I expected. Fine.
5) Hold down Shift key and type any.
6) Still capitals were typed.
The other case, that is, unpress 'Caps Lock' and type any while holding
Shift key was fine.
