GBK is one new locale in Solaris 2.7 . The Solaris User Registration program need JDK support GBK.
While there appears to be some support for GBK is JDK1.1.6, there is no
font.properties file for this locale. Consequently, graphics applications
default to using the English font.properties file, and cannot draw the
Chinese characters.
