Run SwingSet on JDK 1.2 beta 4-F on Solaris in the Japanese locale. Go to the Plain Text pane. Click into a text field. At this point (or earlier), the input method root window should pop up to allow the use of input methods. It doesn't. Therefore, no Japanese text can be entered.
