I may be wrong, but it appears that JInternalFrames
performs ContentPane layout on a continuous basis.

This is a fine feature but it should be possible
to switch it off.
If your pane contents or your layout manager
are slow operators then the resize becomes very sluggish.

Note 1. JSpitPane already offers this option: JSplitPane.is/setContinuousLayout()
Note 2. JFrame should have the same option.
