When you first visiit the SwingSet slider pane on Solaris with JDK-1.2beta4-I, the boxes that go around the sliders are there, but the sliders aren't. If you click around on the pane, they eventually get drawn.

Steps to Reproduce:
0) Run SwingSet on Solaris with JDK-1.2beta4-I.
1) Go to the Slider pane.
RESULT: The boxes that go around the sliders are painted, but the sliders aren't.
