Launch Hotjava 1.13 on JDK 1.2fcs-J build on Solaris. After loading the first page, select the text in the URL field, and type over it. The text you type should replace the selected text, and should not be selected. Instead, the characters you type remain selected, so each new character replaces the previous one, and you never get more than one character into the field.

Not 100% reproducible, you may have to try a few times.
