The Unicode \u05b6 - <Hebrew point SEGOL> shows as an unknown glyph when rendered with the Lucida Sans Typewriter font via drawString. This happens on both Windows and Solaris with the fcs-L build. On Solaris, all of the Hebrew characters are displayed as unknown glyphs while on Windows, most of the Hebrew characters are displayed correctly. On both Windows and Solaris, the Arabic glyphs also show as unknown.
The font Lucida Sans Typewriter appears to have the required glyphs, as they can be displayed via the Windows Character Map program. It does not appear to be a general problem with Hebrew and Arabic characters however because Bitstream Cyberbit and Lucida Sans Unicode both correctly display all these characters.
You can demonstrate this problem by running the attached program. Once the program is running, select the Lucida Sans Typewriter font and the Arabic range of Unicode. Hit the previous button to see Hebrew.
