Using Swing 1.0.3, 1.1beta2, or 1.1beta3, on top of JDK1.1.7A,
I cannot enter the euro character in a JTextField or JTextArea.

I can enter it in a TextField or TextArea. I am using the
French (Standard) input locale and a US keyboard. The AltGr + e
combination produces a euro (in TextField and TextArea). The
same combination does nothing in Swing JTextField etc.
