XMLWordPrintable

      Build : 'Q' & 'U'
      OS : Win95b (DirectSound 5) (NT ok..no DS driver for SB16)
                 Win98
      Soundcard: SB16 (Vibra16) (drv: 4.38.00.0015 certified by MS)
      Machine : Compaq Deskpro (P133, 48MB)
      applet : Animator /home/rk2d/applets/Animator

      {Can acquire DX6 at /home/rk2d/WinApps/dx6, furthermore you can run the control panel located in that directory to determine your DX version. Simply right click and run it as a control panel. (file:directx.cpl)}

      Here is a list of behaviors this applet produces:
        1. Loops sound only once.
        2. GPF's while exiting.
        3. Sometimes works.

      Consistent way to lose sound:
      {batch file can be found in the root of applets /home/rk2d/applets/AnimatorBug.bat the build needs to be in the path and you sitting in the root of /applets}
        1. Create a batch file to run another applet prior to Animator applet.
        2. When the Animator applet gets called after first one terminates
           loses sound.

      Consistent way to play looping sound: (most of the time, intermittent failures)
        1. run applet alone. Not in a sequenced batch file.

      GPF's are intermittent. Below is an output of one of the GPF's

      Asof build 'U' by simply launching the applets in the subdirectory: \animator via "appletviewer *.html", which will attempt to launch everything at once causes Win98 to freeze while launching. On Win95, the freeze happens but not with the consistency of 98.
