solaris_2.5.1
The following request from JEA Licensee. They said that the libXm.so comes with 1.1.6/7 has memory leak problem.
--------------------------------
I found a critical problem about environment of Java Runtime Environment
or Java Developpers Kit ("JRE/JDK").
[1.Environment]
JRE1.1.6/JRE1.1.7
JDK1.1.6/JDK1.1.7
Solaris1.5.1 with CDE1.0.2
[2.Problem]
The JRE/JDK contains libXm.so file in ../lib/sparc/green_threads
("Java's libXm.so"), but patch files of Solaris do not have an effect
on the Java's libXm.so.
Because patch files of Solaris apply to /usr/dt/lib/libXm.so
("Original libXm.so") only. That is why I make following requests.
[3.Requests]
Please apply the patch files of Solaris to the Java's libXm.so.
And I want to be able to choose between the Original Libxm.so and
the Java's libXm.so. (e.g. by using an command-option of the JRE/JDK)
More specifically;
(1) In principle, the JRE/JDK uses the Java's Libxm.so.
(2) By using an command-option, the JRE/JDK can use the Original
libXm.so.
(3) And please include the newest liblary-files(libXm.so ,etc) in
the environment of JRE/JDK (in ../lib/sparc/green_threads) for
every version of release. (version1.1.*, version1.2.*)
Sincerely,
