JDK1.2RC1 cannot show font correctry with
      Xsun X server of Solaris 2.5.1 x86.
      Running SwingSet demo show
      http://www.birdland.co.jp/~kunio/broken.gif

But running SwingSet with XFree86 server,
it show correct font appearance but many
Font specified in font.properties not found [-*-*-*]
      message.

JDK1.2RC1 on Sparc Solaris 2.5.1 with
      Solaris 2.6 Intel Xsun server
      show same bug.

I think some bug exists on Solaris 2.x Intel Xsun server.
My main platform is Solaris x86 and creating application
with JDK1.1.7 and I want to use dnd feature.
Why the font is not good?
If solaris bugs exists , tell me patch.

The following are more comments from the same user (this is the 3rd report of the same
nature on 2 different builds). Hopefully the additional text will help clarify things.
NOTE: I was not able to verify because I couldn't understand and also don't have
access to a japanese system. ###@###.###

      ----
      java version "1.2fcs"
Classic VM (build JDK-1.2fcs-O, green threads, sunwjit)

I found it was work correctry but all represented fonts
were each reversed with x axis.
"T" will represented like "T". but "a" will like "c" and broken.
      "i" will "."
Normal Label component and TextArea will work.

My solaris was patched with recommended one.
All font.properties* files in jre/lib were replaced with font.properties*.5.5.1

      sample image is here http://www.birdland.co.jp/~kunio/broken.gif
