I was very surprised to see that JDK v1.2 does not provide a WindowEvent
to indicate that a window has been "maximized" (I'm using Windows
terminology here).

A "minimized" event is provided via the "WINDOW_ICONIFIED" value.
Why is there no analogous "WINDOW_MAXIMIZED" value?

This has been a shortcoming since jdk v1.0.2 and it's still with us.
Please (oh please) add this event before v1.2 is released.
